What did I do??? MP3 no longer detected

Ok, new user to Vista and to WMP11... I didn't like how it was syncing
automatically with my whole library, so I tried to end the sync relationship.
I was warned beforehand that if I ended the relationship while the device
was still plugged in that there would still be info about the device on
WMP... fine, I thought, since I would still be using the player with WMP. So
then later when it was unplugged, I went to the icon on the left and tried to
change the syncing to "manual" rather than "automatic". Then the icon
disappeared and it will no longer recognize my MP3 player at all! I've tried
unplugging, closing WMP, not sure what else to do. The computer recognizes
my player (Phillips GoGear Vibe), but WMP does not. Please help, I really
want to put some more stuff on my player!!! Thanks -
