audio file description

Hi Folks. Whenever I use Windows Media Player, I get green type on the
screen, which says , Audio Track ,and also has Input Description and Current
input bitrate.
I think this may have started happening after I downloaded a codec pack, but
I have downloaded so many that I can't remember which one caused the problem.
This is really annoying when trying to view videos. Any suggestions on how to
get rid of it would be much appreciated. Any replies to
antony.jones@talktalk.net Thanks, Regards, Tony.

Re: audio file description

ffdshow could be doing this. To turn it off, go to ffdshow's Video
decoder configuration and disable OSD.

Re: audio file description

Small correction: as the Audio Track, Input Description and Current
bitrate is displayed, it probably needs to be turned off in the Audio
decoder configuration instead of the Video decoder configuration.

Re: audio file description

If everything fails, try this. It mat not remove the file description completely, but makes it almost invisible.
1.Go to WMP
2.Now Playing
3.More Options
4.DVD
5.Advanced
6.Font
7. Body:3 (Left most)
Outline:0 (Left most)
Alpha Left most (first two)
8.Ok
9.Ok
