Hope its just not me alone. I use to work with wmp running in the background. Yesterday I was doing the same, listening songs and chatting on Facebook. Suddenly my songs stopped playing and were not able to start again. I restarted windows media player but still they were not able to play. I Started getting prompted to download http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/sound/pop.mp3. Dont know what is it.

This happened for the first time. The only change is that I installed Firefox yesterday and was using facebook on the same with WMP running behind. Do any one of you have came across this ever? Please help.

Yeah Joel, you are not alone with this. Even I keep getting the same download again and again until I use facebook. I guess it is some kind of virus but as far as I know Facebook is reputed and safe site. No matter how many times I cancel that download it keeps on appearing. Is there any working solution for this?

Am with Vista, WMP 11 and Google Chrome. Same thing happens with me as well. I dint posted until now thinking it could be the temporary problem with just me but it seems like it is common. The problem starts whenever I use Facebook IM. I guess it is related to facebook itself and not Microsoft. So we should report this to facebook.

yeha i keep getting this too so you say its to do with firefox+facebook+ playing something in windows media player?

how and WHO do i report this too its getting on my nerves it opens up several of them for me to download

i just typed that in and it goes to facebook its the POP notification noise on chat when someone sends you a message but it seams random doesn't happen on every reply, so its something that should be reported to facebook thats what i shall do
