Window Media Player 11 Vista is jerky when playing WMV

I am using Window Media Centre 11 on Vista Ultimate using a HD 3650 Video
card. When I play wmv's downloaded from the BBC iplayer they are jerky when
played at full screen. The audio is OK and the playback is OK at normal
size. DVD's seem fine. Windows media Centre is fine. It
makes me suspect it is a codec issue but I wouldn't know where to start.

My understanding and just-now test, seems to be the iPlayer is an
Adobe Air program rather than using windows media player.

There's a mention on the Help section that 'We have recently upgraded
BBC iPlayer. BBC iPlayer desktop now replaces Download Manager'

So first of all, check back on the iPlayer site and see if you can
find a separate download link (I couldn't)

AIR uses the video system on your PC a little differently to media
player, but at the very least you should check that your video card
(graphics) driver software is up to date, from the PC or graphics card
manufacturers website.

After that (reboot possibly required), retry the video in standard and
fullscreen to see if there's any improvement.

Sorry for my late reply. The iplayer also allows you to download wmv files
of some programmes this isn't the iplayer desktop. The wmv's do work in
full screen in the Media Centre.
