You might try to connect both wired as some routers don't bridge LAN and WLAN correctly.

Hi - take a look at this link "What are the network requirements?"
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...ing.mspx#q20_6

In particular as you've mentioned Domains, you may be on, or
participate in a coroporate network.

In the case this uses IPSEC (i.e. you use a VPN to access the domain),
the link above is very applicable and you'd have to turn off IPSEC to
be able to use the sharing service.

Even if it isn't you'd need to ensure your XP machine wasn't on a
public and a private network at the same time. The sharing service is
designed deliberately not to share over the public internet, so only
within a local subnet (i.e behind a router, on a private IP address),

HTH
Cheers - Neil

Re: can't connect wireless pc to wired xbox 360 on same router & vice-versa

Hi Neil,

Thanks for your reply. I've done so many things to try to make it work I forgot to mention in my initial post that I had already switch IPSEC to manual. I no longer run vpn or connect to the corporate network / domain though I still use my old corporate log-on which has a domain CORPDOMAIN to log-on to the pc. That I believe (I'm not very knowledgeable about networks) that is called a cache domain??? But having admin rights I created a separate log-on directly to the pc with same results.
I believe the pc and xbox are on the same subnet

Re: can't connect wireless pc to wired xbox 360 on same router & vice-versa

Also I found this statement:

"If your computer is on a domain, make sure the computer as been added to the Windows Authorization Access group in Active Directory. Most home setups are not on a domain. If you are on a domain, someone set it up, and that person should check this. "
On http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/...3-pcmedia1.htm

Which I don't know what to do with...
