WMP 11 Cannot connect to internet to get album info nor connect to

I get an error that says i do not have internet enabled, yet here i am typing
here? I have reloaded WMP 11, checked for updates and deleted cookies. Any
ideas

Is Internet Explorer still working? Can it connect to the Media Guide?

No the media guide gives me the same error? I had to have my OS reloaded a
while back and now i have some virus software that i am not familiar with
Kaprovsky or something like that. But i was able to get onto the net to send
that original message that night?

If IE cannot connect to the Media Guide, then WMP couldn't either. You
would need to sort that out first.
Is IE having problems with any other sites.......... ?

I have the same issue. All internet connections work fine. I have checked
the Connect to Internet in MP options. Still nothing. Also any inbedded MP
video also fails to play.

I was having a problem similar to this. when i pressed 'find album info' was saying it could not find the internet, it was a problem with the DNS. i solved the problem by finding out my DNS IP, this can be done with a program such as everest corporate edition. once you have that IP go into media player and open the drop down menu from library, click more options and go to network, then near the bottom of the box there is a button that says 'configure...' press it and then press 'use following proxy server' and enter your DNS IP then press ok and try conecting either via find album info or the media guide.
