Codec error message C00D119A

Hi,

This is Windows XP SP3 system with Windows Media Player 11. In WMP settings I have marked AVI file type and also have changed IE security to 'High'. But still when I was trying to play a video in AVI format yesterday it was giving me an error message saying “Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or a required codec might not be installed on your computer.”

I tried searching the codec on MS Website and while trying to download the codec it gave me an error message saying “C00D119A while using Windows Media Player."

I don’t have any idea what else can I do now to fix the problem. Somebody please help.

Can you please mention which codec you trying to download?

Also did you tried clicking “Web Help” button? If yes, where is it redirecting you? Just give that URL.

Thanks a lot for your reply friend. I dont know which codec it is downloading but it says that "C00D119A" codec is being used. I cannot run the file still.

Well I don’t what you doing exactly that is creating the error but will suggest you to better download either K-Lite codec or DivX to play avi files on Windows Media Player. Just google for the same and you will get it.
