    Missing Codec C00D1199

I was trying to install SErvice Pack 2 on Windows XP which didnt install properly at the final stages. And from that period, whenever I am trying to play music on wmp then it was not able to play it all. I was getting some error with missig codec and also get an error message C00D1199. I am using the WMP 10 version on my computer and any help would be appreciated.

I have fixed the problem by restarting the computer. Now the error messages are not coming anymore when playing the music files.

You can also try to do the following:

    • Make sure the file type is supported by the Player.
    • If the file type is supported by the Player, make sure the codec used to compress the file is installed on your computer. Some codecs aren't supported by the Player.
    • Try changing the audio output device associated with the Player.

Download K-Lite Codec Pack that comes with lots of codecs package and tools for video and audio. Codecs are required to encode and/or decode (play) audio and video. K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as an easy to use package. Thanks to the codecs you can play all types of movies. It contains everything you need to play for almost all videos downloaded from the web. Includes Media Player Classic Home Cinema, an MPEG-2 decoder for DVD playback and supports playback of FLAC and WavPack audio files.
