| Audio clipping (random, silent pauses during playback)
My OS is Windows Vista, 2 GB RAM, latest Windows Media Player. My songs are randomly stopping for a second...then picking up where they left off. I increased my RAM to 2 GB so that should be the issue. Please advise. Peace. |

Check if there is another program running at high priority like anti virus software. Set the player to high priority http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/VistaTweak.htm "nightrocket" wrote: > My OS is Windows Vista, 2 GB RAM, latest Windows Media Player. Maybe the tool on this page will help you isolating the problem: http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/S...le/DropOut.htm "nightrocket" wrote: > My OS is Windows Vista, 2 GB RAM, latest Windows Media Player. Hi Vincent, Thanks very much for your feedback. You suggest making windows Media Player "high priority" but I don't know how to do that. Please advise. I did download the DPC program (thanks again), and ran it. It indicated that "some device drivers on this machine behave bad" but I'm also not sure what to do with that info. Any suggestions appreciated. Check this page (exclusive mode), speaker properties http://www.thewelltemperedcomputer.c...VistaTweak.htm I wonder if a device is the problem, start the task manager or the performance manager and look for peaks in CPU and/or I/O Often anti virus polls the internet at high priority -- http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com "nightrocket" wrote: > Hi Vincent, > > Thanks very much for your feedback.
