Windows Media Player on 64 bit Windows 2008 Server

We have a Windows 2008 64bit server in our office and need Windows Media Player for the same. I had a setup for WMP 11 on Windows XP computer but when I try installing that on server, it says “There are no updates for this system” and installation gets failed. Do you guys know from where can I get WMP for 64bit win2008? Many thanks.

I think installing WMP XP Pro 64bit will work on the server also. You can give it a try extracting installers using an unzip utility. Also don’t forget to Install the Desktop Experience feature. Let us know the results.
