Hotmail lists incoming wmv attachments as .mht

A friend send media player attachments to my hotmail e-mail account; but when
I get them; they have a .mht extension and I am unable to open them. I have
tried opening on 3 different pc's - all the same scenerio. If I forward the
message - downstream recipients, they receive as .wmv attachments and are
able to open with Media Player. If downstream recipients return the e-mail to
me with attachment; I am then able to open.

MHT is compiled HTML.. can you save out just the WMV itself... ?
