Rollback Media Player 11

I Googled this query, but I got no definite answers, so I thought I would
try here.
I have too many problems with Windows Media Player 11 and want to roolback
to Media Player 10.
Could someone please direct me to a trusted site that will explain to me
the proper procedure to do this in "lay-man's terms", as I am a newuser on
computers.
My System:
- Acer 2450 V1.30 Laptop
- Windows Internet Explorer 7
- Windows XP - Home - SP3
- Avast 4.8(free)
- Windows Defender
- SUPERAntiSpyware 3.9.0(free)
THANK-YOU!

The step by step removal process is described in the WMP11 readme :

Re: Rollback Media Player 11

Hi Neil,

I'm on Windows Vista and I want to roll back to WMP 10. WMP 11 just is too
slow. Can you help me?
Thanks!

Re: Rollback Media Player 11

Unfortunately I can't help with that, you'll have to put up with it.

WMP11 has no rollback procedure on Vista, because there was never a
WMP10 on Vista which could be installed. The vista version is
significantly different (under the hood) than the XP version.

What are you actually having problems with ? There are lots of ways to
use WMP to manage your content, and you may just have picked a slow
way to do it -

For example browsing 20,000 tracks by album cover may well be slow
because WMP has to load a large number of images if you're trying to
scroll down the list (hint : use the Search box to limit the items to
100 or so, by typing a couple of letters of a desired album or track
name)
