A detailed document entitled Requirements for Data is available in Spectrum Direct. It explains the data elements required for each station and channel or antenna operating in the area identified under your license number of the spectrum. It is the same specifications; these should be presented in appropriate units. You can choose to keep your data in our format and in our units or convert them during submission. Customers who submit XML files may wish to take advantage of style sheets for data conversion if necessary. Spectrum Direct offers the possibility to capture and manage data of stations for downloading an XML style sheet directly from your local computer.

After your data are entered, they can be downloaded directly to Spectrum Direct. Any changes to your data stations can be performed with this tool from your original file. To use this tool, please refer to page download and installation of Altova Authentic to use style sheets on Spectrum Direct for more information. XML files must be in a specific format and follow our diagram. It is also possible to develop easily and rudimentary functions needed for XML export. Before downloading the XML files that result, we must ensure that they comply with our scheme.

And also it is that you have to check that the data must reach the Department electronically in XML format so they can be processed automatically. XML files are plain text files where the data contained between tags texts. XML files, although larger, have certain advantages:
XML is a hierarchical format that is convenient for the data. The data are easier to read when examined by hand. It is possible to validate the file format and data before submitting them using the pattern that we published and an XML parser. We can use style sheets to manipulate the data as needed. If the data contain errors, the validation functions of Spectrum Direct display of error messages more descriptive. Many applications and databases now support XML.
