Help for SmartBro TCP/IP optimizer setting

I have recently bought a new SmartBro to have an internet connection on my laptop which runs Windows 7 operating system. Actually I want to some help for understanding the settings regarding the tcp/ip optimzer for my smartbro. I have took PLAN 999 "Unlimited" which gives Speed Up to 2mbps for unlimited usage of an internet. Please advice me some good TCP/IP Optimizer tools on which I can reply trustfully.

A TCP Optimizer is a tool intended to optimize your Internet connection by modifying your machine’s Windows registry settings. It gives you a spontaneous and straightforward tool to optimize TCP and IP in the Windows registry. TCP stands for Transmission Control Protocol. It is a connection-oriented protocol that ensures reliable data transfer. This is the main protocol used in IP networks.

The tabbed interface makes it easy for all types of users to adjust the settings. In addition, parameters can be easily stored in backup files, so you can easily undo changes if you accidentally made a mistake by twisting the registry settings, for example. It also comes with built-Max-MTU and utilities detection latency. Each time Windows is installed, the presets are stored in the registry that limits the amount of data that can be transferred over the network at any given time, a TCP Optimizer optimizes the connection speed by changing the default settings to allow a larger amount of data to transfer over the network at any given time.

If you are not a network administrator or someone who didn’t know much about the networks, then you won’t be knowing the diverse registry settings. Actually you can even use the customized settings of your windows registry by doing only a few clicks. And persons like you must use the TCP Optimizer which helps you to automatically optimize the connection speed and then providing the basic inputs. Slider speed of the connection in the menu, select the network adapter, and click the optimal settings to adjust the connection speed. That's it.

You can also use the optimizer to easily apply custom values, to discuss with different settings, and learn a little more about twisting and TCP / IP in general. We strongly recommend getting familiar with the arrangements, and learn what aspects of your connection they affect first. In addition to this, please note that some of the applications such as MTU, BDP, Latency could be used as a learning program which does not need any change in the Windows registry. The 3 radio buttons at the bottom of the exhibition program "current arrangements" as the appropriate place in the Windows Registry, the "optimal settings" recommended by optimizer, or take account "of custom settings" for the more advanced user to test with different values.

It is necessary to perfect the settings of your Internet connection, access to a number of parameters specific to any TCP / IP (Internet Protocol network) based on Windows. These parameters are very little known and poorly documented by Microsoft. 2 approaches: do it by hand by going directly to tinker the registry of Windows, for insiders, or do it with other utilities and lazy (Like me). run regedit (start> run> regedit):

    • MTU : deploy the tree until HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Service/Class/Net/0000 - edit or create the value-chain IPMTU and give it the value 576.
    • RWIN : deploy the tree to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Services / VxD / MSTCP - edit or create the value-chain DefaultRcvWindow and give it the value MTUx4 or 2096.
    • TTL : in the same tree - edit or create the value-chain DefaultTTL and give it the value 64 or 128.

Now Restart. The goal is to allow Windows to draw a path through routers 64 or 128 instead of 32 (and therefore less likely to fall into error) and to use packages of 576 bytes (standard for most routers) to instead of 1500 which requires the packets to be cut.

EasyMTU is a free Internet utility that optimizes the TCP / IP. To do this, he handles various settings: MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit), Multiply, Time to Live, the cache size. These are few, if any, documented by Microsoft. But their fine tuning can have a significant impact on the observed flow. The user has the option to choose, to change these settings manually, one by one, or select one of the buttons Suggested Default or to change them all at once. EasyMTU retains the old values, which facilitates their eventual restoration. EasyMTU is easy to use. Its documentation describes appropriately the effect induced by the different settings. The MTU (Maximum Transfer Unit) defines the maximum size of data packets sent over the Internet. By default, in Windows, its value is set at 1500, but some routers (computer nodes of the Internet) which handle data have them, a standard MTU of 576. They are forced to break up your packages. This fragmentation is a major bottleneck in your connection.

Use Tweakdun utility instead EasyMtu. It is a utility Pattersen Design Systems to easily configure certain hidden parameters of an Internet connection in Windows. This tool has recently become totally free. It is currently in version 3.0 of September 6, 2001 and no longer has evolved since then. And it is one that goes the farthest, including settings for the browser owns AOL. It does not carry spyware and can be used without fear. Tweakdun is the best software of its kind and is completely free. It can operate in the hidden parameters of a TCP / IP in Windows, such as MTU (Maximum Transfer Unit), which defines the size of packets sent over the network. Tweakdun adjusts the MTU to avoid a phenomenon of fragmentation of data packets that occur on routers with MTU is lower than the machine which emits. This phenomenon of fragmentation is one of the main bottlenecks of flows on the Internet.
