    2]select properties
    3]select internet protocol (tcp/ip)
    4]click properties
5]select use the following ip address in general tab as follows

I have successfully done the setting for bridge mode and now I am able to connect to the Internet. But the problem is that whenever I put my modem off I need to reenter the username and password. Is there any way so that it is always on mode and it should not ask for the username and password again and again when I restart my modem. Your effort will be appreciated.

Having the same issue with my Zte Zxdsl 831aii Modem. So I call to BSNL tech support and I told them about my problem and the Lady on call told me that my hardware is damaged. But when i read your post I though to try this setting and now I can successfully connect to the internet directly through LAn and Now I do not need to use default connection. Thank you very much.
