ZTE ZXDSL 831 AII modem stopped working on BSNL broadband connection

I am using modem ZTE ZXDSL 831 A II and I am subscriber of BSNL Broadband. I try to upgrade the CPE Firmware, my modem was detected successfully and firmware is updated to latest version. But the motive software is not downloaded in my PC.Now when I try to connect to net it shows 678 error. can any one have any suggestion so that I can be able to reconnect to Internet. Thank you in advance.

As you mention that you have successfully update your firmware but you were not redirected to the motive download page and you are unable to download it. You can Try to download Motive software through the BSNL website which configures the modem. Run the setup and it will activate the firmware. After the activation you can successfully connect to the Internet. Hope this will help you to regain the Internet connectivity.

It is really useless updating the Firmware for your modem because no improvement is expected by doing it. You should go to your nearest Exchange and ask them to reset it back to original factory setting.actually error 678 is Id password problem as you are using Dialer.You can use reset button on modem and again try Dialer. If your reset button is not working so inform to the BSNL customer care and they will replace it.

Your problem will get resolve just try the following instruction.You just need to type 192.168.1.1 in the Browser and press Enter.
1]Type default password and userId as admin.
2]Click on configuration and then Internet
3]select edit option of pppoe and change the VBI as 0 and VCI as 35
4] Choose protocol as bridge and Encapsulation mode=LLC/SNAP and click next
5]Skip configure wan setting and click next
6]Click Apply and your changes will be saved

Thank for your valuable suggestion. I follow all the steps mentioned by you. After performing all the step. When I try to Launch the Internet it again display the same error 68 and I was unable to connect to the Internet. And my led lights are continuously blinking.Can you provide some other suggestion so that I can get Rid of this issue.

I will suggest you to assign your IP address to NIC before making this configuration.
1.Open browser and type 192.168.1.1 and press enter
2.Type username as admin and password as admin
3.Click on system
4.Click on reset and restart
5.Select reset to factory default setting and click on restart
6.select configuration/Internet
7.click next
8.select ppp over Ethernet or Bridge
9. select apply
10.click next
11.select system and click reset and restart
