Tata Photon Plus EC1261 not working in Fedora core 10

Hi All,

I tried to use Tata Photon Plus EC1261 for my Emachine (Intel atom processor E270) Laptop having Fedora core 10 as OS.

I install usb_modeswitch for fc10. And used wvdialconf but modem is not detecting.


Please guide me. Which version of usb_modeswitch i have to use.

Whether I need to use modem_manager??

First to ensure that to have mode-switch & wvdial packages are installed. Entropy/Portage has all these, so these are already installed in standard SL by default.
connect the USB modem to the port and at root prompt check the outputs of:

lsusb

and

dmesg
