Haier ce100 on ubuntu 9.10

Hello everyone,
I have purchased the Tata indicom photon usb modem. It is a Haier CE100 usb make. I do not know how to get this connected on my system. anyone familiar about this can help me to get rid of this situation. I am using ubuntu 9.10 . i have also searched for it a lot but could not resolve this issue please help me.

1. Plug the Haier ce100
2. Install the drivers for ubuntu.
3. Install the application manager.
4. Click on the Connect button and then wait for 30 seconds

2. Please ensure that the device is connected properly.
3. Now login to the Graphical Interface and open the terminal from the Applications.
4. Terminal can be found at this location

   • Applications -> System Tools -> Terminal
5. In the terminal type the following command wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf which will
6. detect the modem and installs it for internet connection.
