Do you know differentiation between GSM and CDMA technology?

I am one of the user of the GSM technology. But I don know exactly what is the difference between the GSM and CDMA technology. According to you which is the which is the best mobile network technology GSM or CDMA?
If anyone knows differentiation between GSM and CDMA technology, then please let me know that.

The is no more difference in between GSM and CDMA technology.There is quit small difference in the network quality.The CDMA technology gives better mobile network than GSM technology. But the GSM technology is the globally standardized technology for mobile networks.The CDMA technology is much faster than the GSM technology. Overall CDMA is the best mobile network technology.

  Both GSM and CDMA technology has nearly same Coverage area.
• Roaming:
  GSM carriers have roaming contracts with other carriers of GSM and which makes wider coverage of more rural areas. On other hand the CDMA networks doesn't cover GSM carriers as well as the rural areas
• Speed of data transfer:
  The data transfer speed over the CDMA technology is comparatively more than the GSM technology

Hi, following are some difference between GSM and CDMA technology:

1. GSM is the abbreviation of the Global System for Mobile communication, while CDMA is the abbreviation of the Coded Division Multiple Access.
2. The GSM technology uses the FDMA and TDMA techniques for the access mechanism. CDMA uses cdma techniques for the access mechanism.
3. In the GSM technology the bandwidth of the mobile networks divided into the different time slots to achieve the better bandwidth utilization .

The mobile networks basically divided in to two different technologies i.e CDMA technology and GSM technology.The CDMA technology utilizes the limited bandwidth of the mobile network for several calls. And because of this feature the you get the very good data quality and voice quality than the GMS networks. The CDMA compatible handsets are smiller that the GSM compatible mobile handsets.

In GSM network, the complete bandwidth is not available to the network user, while in CDMA network the complete bandwidth is allocated to the network user. It means the CDMA technology reuses the Frequency bandwidth while GSM not. In the GSM technology the frequency is split into different chunks and each chunk is again divided into time slots. In the CDMA technology transmission is done by using unique code.
