You are having the computer system which has the Ubuntu operating system and you want to access the internet in the Ubuntu using the SXC 1080 CDMA 1x USB MODEM of Tata Indicom. You can access internet using the Tata Indicom USB modem as simple as you can in the Windows operating system. So connect the USB modem and install the software of the device and start browsing the internet.

I think you will be having the driver software of the SXC 1080 CDMA 1x USB MODEM compatible with the Ubuntu operating system. So insert the driver disc and installe the driver in the desktop. Connect the SXC 1080 CDMA 1x USB MODEM and start browsing on the internet. If you are not having the driver for the Ubuntu operating system then you will have to contact to the customer service center about this.

I know i can easily connect to the internet using SXC 1080 CDMA 1x USB MODEM in the Ubuntu operating system but one of my friend is having issues with it so i want to confirm first. He is not able to use it because it fails to retrieve modem in the system, and the network manager applet is not able to set the user profile to work.
