How to increase HSPA modem speed ?

I am purchased reliance HSPA modem on that i am getting 30 to 40 kbps download speed. where my friend receiving 50 to 80 kbps download speed. I want to increase HSPA modem speed is anyone know how to do that ?

On Reliance HSPA modem you are receiving nice speed. i am getting only 20 to 30 kbps speed. I called customer care about this issue they told me On reliance broadband plus you will receive speed between 25 to 50 kbps and average speed you will recive 25 kbps.

The TCP packet size is by default equal to 1500 Bytes, which is appropriate for a local network, but may be too large for some of the Internet router, which must then divide each packet into several smaller packages, which takes time and slows down the connection.

I am using TATA indicom photon on that i am getting mote then 30 kbps download speed. some time i also get more then 70 kbps speed also. I think TATA indicom modem is much better then reliance mode.
