How to make dial up faster

I am using BSNL dial up network from last two months speed was not much good. I am getting maximum 50 to 60 kbps speed. can you tell me How to make dial up faster ?

On Dial-up you will not get fast speed to transfer data as quickly as DSL. B by minimizing programs that are competing for connection resources and making sure the computer is performing at optimal levels, dial-up is much faster. On dial up you will get maximum 128 kbps speed.

Some times i am also use dial up internet on my airtel. on that i also get 40 to 50 kbps speed. some times i get 20 to 25 kbps download speed also.
