    MTS Mblaze USB modem configuration on LINUX

    Hello, as everyone knows that the mobile internet companies forever build products for windows users. There are numerous blogs and posts for configure and setup of TATA photon+ and reliance netconnect. There is one more device by MTS Mblaze and this its available in the market. The Mblaze arrives through packages to create it work below LINUX distros viz ubuntu,fedora and openSUSE. However they are ineffective as they require a few shared library which is not in existence. This led me write this post.

    Here are several simple steps that will build Mblaze work below LINUX .

    There are only three packs you will require to construct it for work. So you'e ready to configure it.

    Opening with the packages, the package you will require.

    usb-modeswitch
    usb-modeswitch-data
    wvdial

    All of these 3 packs will make the Mblaze run below linux.

    wvdial - is accessible in ubuntu and fedora repo.

    You can also download the remaining two through the debian repo and and rpm.pbone.net .as together the packs are in active progress. So, they may be available throughout apt-get, yum or yast if you want to make it enabled level packs.

    After installing all these 3 packs you have to presently require to set the wvdial.

    Make a file wvdial.conf at /etc/

    Now you have to make its contents as

    [Dialer cdma]
    Stupid Mode = 1
    Inherits = Modem0
    Password = mts
    Username = internet@internet.mtsindia.in
    Phone = #777
    [Modem0]
    Init1 = ATZ
    SetVolume = 0
    Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0
    Baud = 115200
    FlowControl = Hardware (CRTSCTS)
    Dial Command = ATDT

    And now you have to configure it to use and one more thing the Modem = /dev/USB0 may be dissimilar it should work at USB0. However if it is not running you can also attempt to change this zero upto 6.

    And after that plug in your modem remain for around 20 secs. Open the terminal as root or super user and you can also this command

    "wvdial cdma"

    You will be stunned to observe some ips in the terminal and at the present you are online. You don’t have to close the terminal. To disconnect only press "ctrl+c". Next time you have to plug the modem stay for 10 seconds and through the command prompt"wvdial cdma" and you will see your internet is working.
