Dish TV adding 200 Channels by next year

Essel group’s direct-to-home (DTH) operator Dish TV is planning to add another 200 channels to its bouquet by next year.Dish TV COO Salil Kapoor said, “We have the largest content pipe. As of now we carry about 225-plus channels. Going ahead, within a year’s time we plan to increase the number of channels to 400-450.”


One of the early entrants in the DTH arena, Dish TV is also looking at strengthening its value-added services vertical. “We currently have services like ICICI Active where one can get all the information about ICICI’s loans and offers. We are working on similar lines for others,” added Kapoor.

Good to hear that. But they seriously need to improve their rude customer service. They have been complacent for too long.
