Speed problem in Reliance usb modem

Hi

I am using reliance Usb modem on that i am getting 30 to 40 Kbps speed it's very slow. At the time of purchase reliance executive told you will get minimum 100 kbps and maximum 146 kbps speed.

How to increase speed So can any one help me ?

On Relinace USb modem you will get average speed of 50 to 60 kbps. it's also depends on network.

On reliance you will receive only 60 to 70 Kbps speed it's very less compare to Idea NetSetter USB . Idea Netter usb modem provides 247 kbps speed.

32 KBps = 256 kbps
1 KBps = 8 kbps

It is not 1KBps = 1000/1024kbps

Yes, thats correct. The speed that may have been defined in your plans are kilo bits per sec whereas the download speed is shown or transfer rate is shown in terms of kilobyte per second.

for eg:
8 bits = 1 byte

therefore
256 kbps = 256/8 = 32 kBps the difference is " b" bits & "B" bytes and therefore you get the download speed of 32 kBps these are the technical terms which even sales people dont know.

But since they have committed you to provide 100-140 kBps download speed, you should complain this to them. Before that, make sure it is kBps or kbps.
