Time Broadband Services has tied up with International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to launch a 24-hour devotional channel over Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) platform by the end of this year.

This follows the clearance of the IPTV policy and issuance of guidelines by the government on 21 August.

Says Time Broadband Services managing director, CEO and co-founder Sujata Dev, “India is today in the frontline of nations with advanced information technology, and we feel that these partnerships will accelerate this growth. We are privileged that we have been selected among all providers of Information Technology in the country and are confident that this will prove to be a milestone in the expansion of not only IPTV, but of information empowerment among the people of the country.”

The company had earlier in December 2006 launched IPTV package “My Time” which includes 100 Digital-channels over multi-cast delivery mode with Trick-play capability, for telecom customers to watch channels both on their television and computer screens. Also uni-cast of films, music, games and serials has since been added to give fully interactive entertainment experience to customers.
