Problems with MTNL modem

I recently got MTNL DSL 399 connection. My modem is MT882 given by MTNL.
My connection drops anytime and on modem connection setting it shows the reason of disconnectionn- modem hangs up. Also I need to enter my password and username whenever I start modem or reboot it.Is there anybody who also share the same router/modem and help me with the settings.

Is all your telephone connected after the splitter. Remember that the wire coming into the house should come to the splitter first & then to instruments.
