Problem in WiFi connection

I bought a new laptop of Compaq and i tried to connect it to my Livebox with the WiFi integrated. Previously i was able to connect it to my old PC but is not getting connected in this new laptop. I entered the wep key and everything, and then it shows "connected with limited access."

Given the connectivity icon at the bottom right, there is a yellow triangle ...
Why is this happening?

Check the rules on your router for connection. try with an another key. Check if the firewall is causing the problem in connection.

I followed your instructions. Checked everything. Also verified the REG but nothing seems to be wrong. As it is working well with my other desktop, i wonder whats the problem with this.

u r getting limited or no connectivity because u either have typed in a wrong network key or there is problem in the laptop for the long network key. i cannot explaint that technicaly but that is the fact. try changing the network key of ur router to a 10digit key[64bit] or disable the network key on the router, it will work for sure . u did not mension if u r tying to connect using windows wireless client or some other wireless client.
A firewall cannot ccause this problem.

Thank you amruday for your guidance. I will try to change the router key to 10 digit (64 bit) and see if that solves the issue.

BTW... I am trying to connect using Windows wireless client.
