I purchased Intel DG33 mobo and E8400 3GHz C2D processor

But the problem is that in the Bios the speed of my processor is shown as 2 GHz.
Why doesnt it show 3GHz???

I believe the slower speed of the processor is because of SpeedStep which throttles down the processor when it is not necessary to run it at full speed (to save on power and reduce heat).

Yow need to install a 64bit windows in order to get full clock speeds.
I also have a C2D E8400 and DG33FB and I also had the same problem before installing a 64bit windows but after installing it bios showed 3.00ghz.
