Exclamation Realtek HD Audio Driver, CANT BE READ!

    Hi,

I recently purchased a new pc with Win xp ,Intel Motherboard, Realtek HD audio chip, etc. But now, I realised that audio was missing. I have tried to update the driver in device manager, it searches, finds the cd, loads the driver and then fails, saying the data is invalid. I have downloaded the driver from Realtek as well but it does the same thing, goes right through the process and then fails at the end. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

What I can suggest is that first try to clear the CMOS and then reset the BIOS settings. And make sure that sound functions are enabled.
