| device cannot start code 10!
hi , i just reformated my gateway laptop model mx6027 i dont have my recovery disk and i can get all the other devices installed just fine. but when i try to install drivers for my audio (realtek ac97) sound card . i go into my device manager and it says the device cannot start. I have tried 3 seperate drivers as well as doing the gateway update thing. help please! thanks in advance |

are you installing the correct drivers for your sound drivers n also didnt u get any kinda cds for installing the whole drivers includind all things ie; motherboard n all?

i dont have any of the discs. i just downloaded the ac97 drivers cause thats what drivers were listed when i did the gateway update. in my device manager under "sound video and game controllers the list is this Audio codecs legacy audio drivers legacy video capture devices media control devices realtek ac'97 audio (with the! device cannot start) now i dont know what the legacy audio drivers mean but my sound wasnt working before i installed the realtek drivers anyway |
