| Sata Drives Boot Disk Failure
Hi Bought brand new PC with the following specs: corsair hx620 PSU eVGA 8800GT Samsung 500GB SATA HDD Asus QuieTrack Lightscribe DVD+-R/RW CD R/RW SATA GA DS3R Motherboard Intel Q6600 thermaltake ultra 120 extreme Trying to install windows for the first time, I get this boot disk error. It says please insert system disk and press enter. The disk in the drive is a Windows XP2 CD. The boot priorities is: 1. CDROM 2. HDD 3. None I know there is no problems with this though as the green light flashes on the CDrom drive when it tries to boot from cd/dvd. The HDD and CDROM drive are detected in the BIOS (that is, it has given them their names when i see them in the master slave drive listing thing) which is confusing. After browsing the net, i've come across some articles that say I must install SATA drivers, but I can only do that when I get past the screen that is showing my error (when I can press F6 or whatever it is) EDIT:should also say I don't have a floppy drive. Any help will be appreciated. |
