Logitech MX 300 is good enough.
If you really want a good responsive mouse, go for a Logitech Mx 510
Logitech MX 300 is for arnd 1k

Using logitech optical at home and samsung optical at work. Both PS2. I am more comfortable with the logitech one. Samsung feels just a tad small. But may be I am used to logitech as I am using them for many years now.

Another vote for Logitech MX 300. Its awesome and used by many pro gamers. If you have more cash, get the MX310 or MX510.

USB mouse have a higher sampling rate and therfore give you a better control. Especially in games.
On fall side they hog up a port, and tend become unresponsive if your system is heavly loaded (only time i have noticied this is at windows startup)

Thats only if u don't set the sampling rate on ps2. The default for ps2 is 80 and usb is 125. The downer is USB rate is fixed and cant be changed. The ps2 rate can be changed to as high as 200. However the USB has a higher dpi of 800. The PS/2 versions can only do a max of 400. The higher dpi is especially useful if your desktop is set at a high resolution of around 1600x1200 or higher.

It is very expensive ( 3800 !) as very few people buy it. If you want a really good mouse (of course not as good as the Mx 510), go for the Ms Intellimouse Explorer for abt 2k.

hey we are going to see that laser mouse by logitech in few months na (may be next month)? any ideas how much will that cost us?
also that finger print detecting desktop is planned to be shipped by MS from October. a war seems to be happening between Logitech and MS as far as Mouse and Keybaords are concerned.
