question Problem with Intex TV tuner

Hi,
I got an Intex TV tunner card where I am facing problems.
1.If I try to record from the tv tunner, the recorded stuff doesn't have any audio.

2. I am having a setupbox from which I give the input to the Tv Tunner. I am able to see only the normal cable channels but not able to view the pay channels like HBO, StarMovies, tensports ,..etc

Can anyone help me fixing these problems?

Re: Problem with Intex TV tuner

I would guess that the first problem is a software configuration issue. It may be that your recording software is attempting to grab audio from an alternate audio source. I can't really offer better advice than that.

Your problem recording pay channels is probably due to copy protection embedded in the signal. I know that HBO uses Macrovision protection and others might too.

Hi Hibiscus, thankz for your response. Now I am able to get the audio but the problem in viewing pay channels still exist. I am having setupbox and getting all the channels including pay channels in my tv. I am taking a line from "RF loop out " pin of the setup box and connecting it to the TV tunner. There are also pins like RF in , RF out, S Video in the setup box. So to view the other channels is that I have to change the line to any of the other pins????

Remote Volume button is Not working

Hi jackrav,

Can u tell us please how u configured sound in order to get sound in recording?
And one more question I wants to ask is that the Volume UP and DOWN button and MUTE button on the remote control is not working !! ( I have Intex Internal TV tuner card )

Can anyone please tell me what maybe the possible cause of problem ??

Rest buttons are working properly, problem only exists in Volume and MUTE buttons.

I m waiting for the kind reply of a GENIUS.

Re: Remote Volume button is Not working

Hi Sadhura,

I could well set the Intex Internal TV tuner card. Output of TV tuner card should go in Line-in of CPU (use black wire with both sides pin). This will solve problem of sound while recording as well as Volume UP and DOWN button and MUTE button problem.

make sure line-in isn't muted in your systems Volume control panel.

Which headphone or speakers do you use to listen music ? First of all, check whether you have installed the drivers correctly, then also check headphone / speakers on other pc , to check whether its a problem with the headphone or its some internal issue....
