Does an ssd upgrade cause rise in cpu temperature

Does a ssd upgrade can cause rise in cpu temperature. Before there was a 2TB drive and later on I added a SSD to the system where operating system and other installation files are stored. Now the cpu temperature is increased by 15degree. Before it was stuck on 45 and not it is 60 constant. I want to know that does this thing is caused by the SSD. How to fix it and how to make it normal back as it was before. I am unable to find anything.

Re: Does an ssd upgrade cause rise in cpu temperature

It is not due to ssd, it is due to the cpu fan. You have to replace that to fix the issue. It looks your cpu fan is old or it is not working fine. Go in the bios first and check the rpm of fan. See if that lies at a constant rate or not. When the cpu temperature increases the fan speed also increases that draws about maximum heat from the processor. But if that is not increasing then it means the fan is old. You have to replace that.

Re: Does an ssd upgrade cause rise in cpu temperature

60degree is not a big threat. There can be some applications that are working in the background which keeps on occupying the cpu. Go in Task Manager and just check once what all applications are working. You might have installed too many things in the pc which led to rise in temperature. SSD's add more performance. When your cpu goes to idle mode the temperature get back to the normal state as it was before.
