It is always good to take photos in outdoor. Because in bright light the camera is able to process images more properly. I had seen a huge difference between photos taken inside and outdoor. The light difference matters a lot. So just take photos outside and see the change.

You have to learn a bit about the exposure value, iso and getting the right fps settings. Or else it is not going to work fine. HDR photos came out with amazing white and color balance. They are vibrant and effective. After taking photos you have to process them in photoshop.

Photoshop is one of the best tool here that can help you to modify your photos and apply reasonable effects on the same. It is complicated to tell you in some steps. A major part here is done by the camera itself. If it has smart features then you will get amazing photos. But if the camera has more manual settings then you will have to do each and everything one by one. Which is a bit time consuming process. Color control matters a lot on it. You can keep the color control on maximum to get amazing photo output. Then comes the saturation part. You must reduce that. Short tips cannot help you much in getting the right HDR image. But you can begin with many basic things. Like when you are taking photos and you need hdr specific then take raw photos. You can modify the same. Using a tripod add more stability. It makes your picture clear and crisp. Software things come later part. Here the camera itself tries to fix everything. When you put it on the hdr mode it adjust the settings and give you the kind of output you want. It is easy and simple. Photomatix is a popular tool for making nice hdr images. If some effects are missing then you can apply them with the help of Photomatix. At the time of taking photos, don't take one. Try to take multiple. Try different settings and changes which will help you to take proper photos and will also give you amazing output. Later on in the software part you have to learn everything in detail.
