I am having a HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 909a and I have updated the firmware of the same and as recommended I need to do a full reset. I have checked about the same and have found solution for semi reset, I haven’t come across full reset solution. Is there anyone who is aware of it and can help me out with the same?? Any help regarding this will be highly appreciated.

No worries just follow the below simple solution:

• Turn on the printer and unplug the power cord
• After that press and hold the # & 6 key and plug the printer back in
• Just try it out and let me know if it helps.

Thanks for that but I’ve already come across that fix, it’s a semi reset solution and not a full reset procedure. Actually since updating the firmware the printer is not getting detected, while I was searching regarding a fix for it I was suggested to do a full reset saying that it is recommended after updating the firmware of the printer. I have tried out the above so called semi- reset several times but that’s not making any difference and the printer is not getting detected still. I need to get my printer working as soon as possible so help regarding this will be very appreciative.

This is what I have found to be a solution for doing full reset:

• Turn off the printer, press & hold power button for 5 secs
• After that press TL, BL,TL,TL on front panel of printer and select Menu after wards
  TL-top left
  BL-bottom left

Just try out the same and let me know if your issue is getting solved by that, if you face any further issue after this then feel free to ask, I will try to help you out with possible solution for it.
