Noctua NH-D14 vs NH-D14 SE2011

I am willing to get one of the cooler amongst Noctua NH-D14 and NH-D14 SE2011 but I am not able to make out which one will be the best for me. I don’t have much idea about them so can anyone make me understand the difference between them so that I can get the best one form both? Any suggestion regarding this will be appreciative.

I don’t see much difference between them, the only difference is that Noctua NH-D14 is compatible with more sockets like Intel LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA775, LGA2011 on request, Asus X-socket™ & AMD AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1 (backplate required). Whereas NH-D14 SE2011 is just compatible with Intel LGA2011 (Square ILM) . I don’t think there will be much difference between their performances as both of them are having almost the same specifications. Below are the things that actually matter but they are common in both:

Yes they both will work fine and will give same performance’s, you can get anyone of them according to the socket compatibility you are looking for. Even NH-D14 SE2011 can be compatible with all sockets if you get the right mounting kit for it. I’ll say good choice, just go ahead and get one without any worries, they are one of the best coolers in the market.

Why don’t you go for “Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BL 140mm UFB (Updraft Floating Balance) CPU Cooler”, it is cheaper than both and will give you the same performance as well. To get a better idea of it go through its specification below:
