Canon pixma mp280 printer Driver for Ubuntu

I have installed Ubuntu in my computer. I am using Ubuntu since a month ago. I also have the canon pixma mp280 printer and I was using this printer without any problem in windows xp. I am having a problem in using the printer in Ubuntu. The problem is that I am not able to find the driver for the operating system. There is no driver in the installation CD of the printer which came along with the printer.

I have searched on the internet but I am unable to find the driver. Has anyone found the driver for the canon pixma mp280? Please provide me the solution for this?

Even i was having the same situation, hence I contacted the customer care of the canon and they told me that the driver for this printer is under maintenance and you will find it on their official website. After a week I found the driver of this printer on the internet. I have downloaded the driver and also checked , its working fine.
