Dell Rd1000(tape Back Up)

**Need Help w/my dell rd1000, tape back up,everything has been fine for past 3years, but today the "icon" on lower task bar(right side) was flashing,when i put mouse over it, says:"Yosemite backup for dell-service stopped", when i click on it goes to site, icon below then reads-"connected", never had this problem before, when i close window like i always did, goes back to being "service stopped", ideas?????

Can you try to perform the below steps and check if that works out for you:

• First Uninstall Yosemite
• Join the computer to our windows domain
• Reinstall Yostemite
• Perform a format job
• Perform an erase job
• Run the deafult daily backup (failed)
• Run a specific backup on a test folder with generous permissions
