Cannon printer is randomly dropped by iMac running Mac OS X 10.7.3

Right now I am using iMac 21.5 powered by Mac OS X 10.7.3. also I am having connected Canon MG8120 through the router by using weired connection. after working for sometimes without having any issue all of sudden iMac of mine started to drop printer installed randomly and suddenly. When I get into the System preference it was showing there was no printer installed on the system. Will you help me out?

Looking at the situation I recommend following steps which you can try.

• You should go for System Preferences and click on Print and Scan.
• You have to select the Printer from the left pane.
• Now right click on the same and select Reset Printing System.

There could be an issue with the printer driver itself. So I recommend that you should visit the official website of the Cannon and look for the latest version of the drivers. You should download and install the same on your system and see whether the thing is working or not.
