Fujitsu HDD clicking due to faulty PCB

MY fujitsu HDD recently stopped working and pc shows me an error saying that HDD does not exist. The HDD was making noises and for that reason I take a look into the PCB. There I have seen that fuse was blown. The Drive was not spinning and instead clicking each time. I didn’t notice any mechanical problem there. So I bought the new PCB with the same model. But here also the same issue. Can anyone explain me what else could go wrong here?

It seems like a stickion the heads stuck to the platter. So the platters cannot be heard or won’t spin up. There are 3 choices for you and they are:
    • If you want to keep your valuable data then take to a pro.
    • If the data is not necessary for now, then try "percussive maintenance" AT YOUR RISK
    • otherwise unstick the heads by yourself.

These steps are very risk and you could ruin the entire disk if anything goes wrong.

I heard that some Fujitsu drives do not allow you to replace or exchange the PCBs and this issue was Due to the variations while manufacturing Hdds. It seems to me that your drive needs a specialist Data Clinic attention. Some range drive don’t have problem with PCB exchange, if the there is a compatible model number and firmware revision. In order to check the firmware revision, see the drive’s label

Some PCB boards do have a fuse but some came with protection diodes. Some of the PCB boards requests for "adaptive" data which stored inside the EEPROM otherwise on the main MCU. These data must be transferred from the faulty one to the new one. So I don’t know which board you have. If your board is like which I have mentioned here, then swapping will not work.

If the HDD spins up, but not recognized, then changing the PCB only will not work for you. You also need to exchange BIOS chip on it. If you cannot find the 8pins BIOS chip on the PCB, then it must be Main IC Chip integrated inside the. It is a more complex task removing and replacing. It cannot be achievable without the proper information.
