Hi, everybody I am looking to compare the ink cost of the Epson printers especially of 7600, 2400 and3800.Is there any data available by which we can compare the ink coverage of Epson printer?
You can calculate the ink cost by using cost per cartridge and millimeter of ink per cartridge with cost of the one millimeter of ink for each printer. I am not sure how accurate answer this will give because it will depend on the size of the page that you are using. It also depends on the setting that you are using to print. I have searched on the Epson website but it has not mentioned any unit ink cost and ink coverage cost on their website.
The 2880 is same as the 2400 and is a 13” version of the 3800. 3800 printer has much more bigger ink tank that reduces the cost of ink for per millimeter to very cheap.7600 printer costs more and also the ink is wasted when you swap from the glossy to matte.
I have the Epson 4800. I think the ink per print is the only way to determine the cost of ink. I have learned that for 2*11 of printing you will need 1 ml of the ink. This can differ for the Black and White pictures and drawings but for regular use it is good. I use the black color most and sometimes I use magenta. So as I said before for paper that I have I will need 1mi per 2*11of print and for other sizes that are available in the market you can have the multiple of (2*11). Since my 4800 is using 2*10.25 so I am printing the pictures so that they can be fitted into 8*10 frame by trimming the portion that is going out. I only chose this printer because it has the bigger ink container and also it is cost effective. It is also 3x fast.
