Umax 2100u scanner’s light working but scanner is not working

hi guys

I have this scanner for a while now but lately it was not working however I can see the light is on but there is no sound that scanner make when it work . I even downloaded the application for th scanner but still no sign of progress . is there anyone her who can help me on this I would be really glad to know

I have the same problem with the UMAX Astra 2100U Scanner, now I know the scanner works ok , however what I believe the issue can be the application .is there anyone here who can assist me to solve this issue

Well it is hard to say because there are so many parts in that scanner. Like Belts, gears, a some of the electric motors . which is very difficult to delta with it so I would like to suggest you that just let it go to the scrap and purchase a new scanner. I've got an Visioneer OneTouch 9520 that scans good and is a very much simpler to utilize in comparatively with the UMAX it replaced.

Yeah I too agree with you The UMAX 2100U scanner model is very outdated and in fact the driver application of that scanner do not works on the Windows 7, and as far as I kno there is no latest driver that is available on the official website or else where .You need to get a new scanner that will work on the Windows 7 operating system.

I have never used that scanner but I can suggest you to download the Windows NT and installed it trough the device manager may be that would work however it is better that you should get the new scanner as soon as possible
