HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N is not working in Dell Inspiron 530

I am using Dell Inspiron 530 desktop computer and I am facing problem with my DVD ROM. Now whenever I start my computer at that time computer does not detect HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N. if any one have solution regarding this then please help me. Thank you in advance.

You should open your cabinet and then you have to disconnect DVD Rom and after that connect your HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N and then you have to start your computer. Now you have to check whether it makes any difference or not. as far as I know after trying this solution your problem will get solved.

If you are not able to solve this problem by trying above steps then I will suggest you to first check your DVD ROM with other computer. if your HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N works fine with other computer then there might be something wrong with your Dell inspiron 530 and if same thing happen with other computer also then you need to replace your HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N. Same problem occurred with my computer also and after that I have tried to search the solution on internet and I have came to know that I have to delete upper and lower filter for this registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.now after removing the key when I restart the computer at that time problem get solved.

To remove upper and lower filter you have to follow this steps.

• Open registry editor by typing “regedit” in run or start menu search box in windows vista and 7
• After that you have to locate below key
  

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

• After that from right pane you have to delete upper filter and lower filter from there.
• After removing that restart computer.

Removing DVD ROM from my computer and then putting it back in my computer does not help me to solve this problem and after that I have also tried to fix this problem by removing upper filter and lower filter but that does not help me to solve this problem. with different PC also I get same problem with HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N. Now please tell me how to get rid of this problem?

You have mentioned that after trying above solution also same problem is occurring with your DVD ROM and I think there is nothing wrong with your computer but problem is with HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N and you should replace it. I hope your problem will get solved as soon as possible.
