I wanted to you to do some of the thing to check the PCI-E x16 slot and measure that how big video card can fit it, so you have to open your system to check. When you will be checking then PCI-E x16 slot need to be empty. I would suggest some of card which are been listed below, will be suitable with specification of yours.
  • Radeon 6950 is 10.2" 160 GB/s - $210-250
  • Radeon 6970 is 11.3" 176 GB/s - $300-330
  • NVIDIA 560 is 9" 140 GB/s - $150-200
  • NVIDIA 570 is 9" 152 GB/s - $300-340
  • NVIDIA 580 is 10.5" 193 GB/s - $500-520

To run all the above video card then you will need to have 600-650 watt power supply, i have heard that Nvidia is coming with some of new series in this present year, so if you can wait and get those latest.

If you go for EVGA 560 TI then you need to have 500 watt power supply with 30 amps on the +12 volt bus, so i would suggest that you go for Corsair CX500 which will cost something 40 $, it is having 34 amps on the +12 volt bus. Even you can go for Corsair CX600 then it will be 10 $ more then CX500, but it is having 40 amps on the +12 volt bus. There is article about HP Pavilion p7-1054 Desktop PC, so read on HP website and it will helpful for you. I would suggest that install Power Supply and make the system stable then you install video card.

I would say that go for "EVGA SuperClocked 01G-P3-1461-KR GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card" which will be costing 200$ and along with that you get "CORSAIR Builder Series CX500 V2 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply" which is 70$, which will better and good option.

If i go with these specification then does 500 Walt powersupply will support the GPU, if it is possible then i will go for it today itself.

If you have doubt then you can check on below link, where you will get the idea which are specification need to make it work. Well EVGA 560 mostly need 450 watt power supply with 24 amps on the +12 bus which is very much sufficient for it. If you select some EVGA then it might need some more watt power supply, so you can also check on below second link. I think that EVGA maybe revising the power supply requirements. The Corsair CX500 should not give any problem and work properly.

I would suggest that you go for "EVGA DS SuperClocked 01G-P3-1567-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card" which is best and it will run with 500 watt power supply, if you place order then you might get for 260$, which is expensive enough, so you can think and get it. Even there is a video on YouTube where person is showing specification and installed the same.

I wanted to tell that check slot which adjacent to the PCI-E x16 slot, that slot should be empty. When you are trying to install new video card then it should not interfere components on the motherboard, where you can see mini-HDMI, which is adapter cable to adapt the HDMI cable coming from monitor. If you do not have HDMI cable then you can use DVI cable to the monitor.
