Missing Automatic Duplex Printing option on HP C7200

I used this HP Photosmart C7200 printer on my windows 7. Previous days, it provides Duplex Printing Automatic option which is missing now. How i can get this option? Because of this option i never need to set the re-insert every sheet of paper. It works automatically to print on both the side of the paper. Now i did it Manually. Need some meaningful help for fixing this problem.

Same problem arrives on my system. I also used same HP photosmart printer that connected with the windows 7. two days before i install windows 7 on my system. After windows 7 installation and printer connection, i always need to manually do this duplex printing process. I think this printer is begin capable to provide duplex printing facility. Then please share your valuable comments over this issue. I am also waiting for it.

I also think that this printer will definitely did Duplex Printing automatically. YOu can just go to printer properties. Locate "device settings" tab and choose duplex option on it. If duplex is already registered as installed, you surely found such option. USe this option and check your printer result. I hope you got best output with this printing. Then your printer automatically did such duplex printing.

In widnows 7, if you installed printer driver that detects duplex hardware, then use below process. USe it for getting automatically duplex printing facility.

1. ON your windows 7, Open Devices and printers option in Control panel.
2. Right-click on HP C7200 printer icon.
3. Choose Printing Preferences.
4. Select product in Printing Preferences window.
5. Hit Features tab and locate the Paper Saving Options area.
6. Click on Automatic option. It presents in Two-sided printing drop-down list.
7. Set other print settings As per your demand.
8. Select OK.

Now you got automatic duplex printing facility on your printer.

One thing you need to realize here that few HP printer by default provides this duplex printing with Automatic Two-sided Printing Accessory. If your printer contains such accessories, then only you can get this option. Otherwise you need to external add such accessories on your printer. • Choose operating system that running with this printer.
• click on available latest Software and Drivers option.
• Select HP Print Driver Update v1.0. Yoiu found it in Update section.
• Use on-screen instructions and download compatible software update version.

I try this process, but my printer not able to detect the two-sided duplex printing accessory. Can you describe more things on this issue, So that i can able to detect my printer duplex accessories and get automatic duplex printing facility. Thanks for any such help.

Ok, to fix your problem simply follow below instructions.

• Go to Start-> Control Panel-> Printers and Faxes.
• Right click on printer that you installed on your system.
• Open Properties and hit Device Settings tab.
• Hit plus sign (+ ) in Installable Options.
• Select Duplex Unit.
• It expand drop-down menu.
• In that Duplex Unit menu, choose Installed.
• Finally select Apply and OK button.

It fix your printer duplex accessories detection problem.

For confirming the duplex option is installed on the printer, Go to Start-> Settings-> Printers and Faxes.
right click on printer and choose Properties.
In device setting tab, Installable Options presents. Expand it.
Confirm that Duplex Unit Installed option presents on it.
Next go to Start-> Settings-> Printers and Faxes.
Open Printing Preferences option by right click on printer.
Choose the Flip on Long Edge option in layout tab.
Finally select OK button. It fix your duplex printing problem. hence try this for getting better result.
