unable to get desired speed on USB3.0?

I bought new USB 3.0 but it is giving me speed of 28MB/sec, which is so slow. My PC support USB3.0 but still this problem remains. Let me know if you are having any idea on this particular matter.

First of all the speed you are showing is very bad, even if use USB 1.0 then you will get a speed from 10 to 100 MB/s and in USB2.0 you will have speed of 480Mb/s and in USB 3.0 will boost your speed up to 5Gb/s. If you have attached the USB3.0 with your computer, check if you have install the driver for the same and whether it successfully installed and if device fitted into the motherboard without any up and down. and check for the cable you are using, is it is old one so changed it, it will help you to gain speed, not just gain but you will get your speed.

As you have said the speed you are getting, even it is defined by USB2.0,which came with the speed of 480Mb/s. might possible you have problem with its installation and driver and sometimes cord play an important role. USb3.0 came with the speed of approx 4.8Gb/p……although in the starting it will not give you so much speed but definitely you will get a thrilling speed of nearly 3.8Gb/s, which is more than enough to transfer 25 High Definition movie in a minute.

Re: unable to get desired speed on USB3.0?

I am shocked by listening that USB3.0 is giving a speed of 28Mb/s. if you go for the review, it will tell you that USB3.0 is approx 200 to 300 time faster than USB2.0 and it is approx 4.8Gb/s. and it also depends on the file size, transferring the data from internal to external or external to internal. The speed form internal to external is more but from external to internal is less. But it is not so less, it should give you speed over 2Gb/s.

Try to check, if cords, driver and device correctly set up. And check for the vendor also and manual about its installation so that it will be clear to you about the problem.
