According to my information you should push the air from the outside into the radiator to get the best result of this combination of the devices. Or you can also push air from the inside into the radiator this both are the best configuration.

There are the conditions for the configuration of this Corsair Carbide 500R with Corsair H100, so if you want to exhaust the air from inside the case then it should be fitted to the top of the case for the best use of this Corsair Carbide 500R with Corsair H100. However there are the need for the configuration so for that you have to switching the rear 120mm fan to blow IN.

According to my information if your CPU is 4.8 GHz at 1.424v and idling at 31c. So for the stock settings, so you just try to make the prime to run at 95 if you want to get to the mid to upper 60s.

At starting even I was also confused for the configuration of Corsair Carbide 500R with Corsair H100, but after lots of attempt I have discovered some of the results, Exhaust flow is restricted by the top mesh panel. To make the use of the air to rush significant you just need to popped the mesh panel off, if the levels is at 5c then core temps will immediately dropped to the lowest and at the 8c it is at the highest the average is to use the 6c.
