Usb locking up in Linux mint

Once in my keyboard mouse stops responding. Both are USB devices and block at the same time, so I'm guessing it's a trouble with USB.I have not seen any pattern to jail, sometimes it works for hours without trouble, sometimes crashes in minutes, but I've never had this trouble in Windows, so I doubt it's a hardware trouble.

If it is by means of hal (Hardware Abstraction layer), you can attempt

    Code:
    sudo /etc/init.d/hal restart
The step is either list the module, get rid of it and install it once more, all from a terminal; or if you be acquainted with the module name, merely remove it and reload it.

I need to review some analysis. Seems to be only the keyboard and mouse is locked (forever at the same time). The USB Wi-Fi seems to keep operational. But it was a devil this morning locked up five or six times in an hour.

It would be worth checking if your BIOS have options for "Resource Management”. See if you are ready to run hardware or operating system. Try switching to the other option and restarting.

An option to disable the USB keyboard means that you must also have a PS2 connector. Or connect a legacy keyboard or buy / borrow a USB to PS2 converter plug.
